Clinical Mode Current Perception Threshold (CPT®) (p<0.05, resolution +/- 20-50 μA) - Introduced in 2010!  Painless CPT® measures ideal for clinical applications in neuropathic populations.  The Clinical Mode permits faster evaluations than the Automated Mode while utilizing the same automated double blind forced choice CPT determination method.  Faster testing is achieved by taking advantage of the the logarithmic nature of nervous tissue responses to stimulation to seed up testing.  This mode of operation is twice as fast as the traditional Automated CPT Mode in providing useful accurate measures among neuropathic patientsContact Neurotron for the possibility of upgrading your Neurometer® CPT®/C today.

Automated Current Perception Threshold (CPT®) Mode (p<0.006, resolution +/- 20 μA) - Painless CPT® measures .  This is the traditional automated forced-choice CPT determination method Neurotron first developed using a manual test in the early 1980's that was introduced to the medical community in 1986.  This computerized automated mode of operation was first marketed in 1995 and has a prove track record with more than 700 scientific peer reviewed publications.  This mode of operation is ideal for research and medical-legal applications.  The standardized automated double-blind determination mode requires 5-8 minutes per nerve/site for all three neuroselective stimuli.

Semi-Automated Current Perception Threshold (CPT®) Mode (p<0.006, resolution +/- 20 μA) - Painless Current Perception Threshold. Standardized automated double-blind determination mode requires 2-8 minutes per nerve/site for all stimuli.. Permits manual threshold alignment prior to automated CPT® determination.

Ranged Current Perception Threshold (R-CPT) Mode (p<0.05, Ranged CPT) - This mode allows neuroselective sensory threshold determination in approximately approximatly 1 minutes per nerve site/frequency. Normative data is pre-programmed for 35 of the most common sites and the are graded for immediate interpretation.

Pain Tolerance Threshold (PTT) Mode The noninvasive atraumatic PTT mode permits the neuroselective evaluation of pain. There are established PTT values for the finger and toe.

Manual Testing Mode  This mode permits manual control the Neurometer CPT/C device output parameters.  It includes single-blind CPT testing controls with optional audio cues.

(dot)

Itch Perception Threshold/Latency Mode  Either itch latency or itch perception threshold is determined through selective stimulation of Aδ and C fibers

(dot)

Percentile Allodynia Testing Mode This mode provides an automated PTT test completion based on normative PTT values established for the fingers and toes enables a less painful method to evaluate allodynia than the standardized PTT evaluation

(dot)

Pain Matching Threshold (PMT™) Mode  This operation permits the patient to identify a neuroselective stimulus intensity that they consider to match the intensity of the pain they are experiencing.

Remote Computer & Audio Control Mode  This is an optional feature available to control the Neurometer CPT/C device with a Windows operating system computer.  The program includes an optional microphone control with an audio threshold setting.

fMRI Testing Mode.  Neurometer technology has established utility for fMRI applications. Custom fMRI electrode cables are available.  Additionally, a fMRI computer interface is available.
